Dear Brentwood Families:

Here are some important reminders and updates for the first week of school:

• Earlier today you received an introductory email from your child’s teacher.  The message includes important information for the start of school.  If for some reason you have not received an email, please come to our office on Monday morning.
• School begins on Monday, August 31 at 9:15 AM.  Our soft entry starts at 9:00 AM, which is when supervision begins and our exterior doors are unlocked.  Our staff will be highly visible in their safety vests, and most teachers will carry a sign with their name on it.  Please note the assigned door (A, B, C, D or E) for your child’s class.
• Drop-off and pick-up are very busy times at Brentwood School.  Please do not park in our bus zone on Northmount Drive or in our staff parking lots.  The east and south side of our school grounds has ample pick-up and drop-off parking available.
• We have several students and staff with severe allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, and nut products.  Please ensure these allergens are not sent to school.
• Please note that we do not make changes to classes or assigned teachers during the month of September.  Class lists are very carefully designed to balance learning needs, peer relationships, and student transfers in and out.  In almost all situations, children become very settled and happy with class placement once they are familiar with their peers and the teacher.  Thank you for your understanding.
