Dear Brentwood Families:

We have had a wonderful week of learning along with beautiful weather.  I have enjoyed visiting classrooms to see students and staff hard at work.

Here are a some reminders and updates for the week ahead:

Early Pick-Ups

If you are picking up your child early from school, please notify both your child’s teacher and the office no later than 12 noon on that day, and no later than 10 am on Fridays.  This provides us with enough time to ensure we have updated our attendance and bus lists and have your child ready for pick-up.  Please note that unless it is an emergency, we cannot accommodate last minute requests for early pick-ups.

Forms

Should our staff need to be aware of a physical or medical condition, please complete a CBE Student Health Plan and return it to our office.  If your child has a significant medical concern or life-threatening allergy, please also complete the Student Health Emergency Response Protocol.   Links to these documents are below; we also have printed copies in our office. 

Safety

Please be careful and courteous during our busy drop-off and pick-up times.  The entire length of Northmount Drive NW in front of our school is a bus zone with no parking or stopping.  Stopping in this area prevents our yellow school buses from safely unloading, and blocks traffic.  Please also do not stop near our crosswalk, as this affects visibility for those using it.  Our students and staff depend on your cooperation!  Thank you.

School Conferences

Our September conferences are an important opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and have an initial conversation about their learning.  They are scheduled for Thursday, September 26 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm and on Friday, September 27 from 9 am to 1 pm.  Conferences are booked online beginning on Monday, September 16.  Instructions on how to do so will be included in next week’s message.
