Dear Brentwood Families

Here are some important reminders and updates for the first week of school:

• Yesterday, you received an introductory email from your child’s teacher.  The message includes important information for the start of school.  If you did not receive an email, please contact our office.
• School begins on Tuesday, September 2 at 9:15 am.  Our soft entry starts at 9:00 am, which is when supervision begins and our exterior doors are unlocked.  Our staff will be highly visible in their safety vests, and teachers will carry a sign with their name on it.  Please note the assigned door for your child’s class.
• Drop-off and pick-up are very busy times at Brentwood School.  Please do not park in our bus zone or in our staff parking lots. 
• Please note that we do not make changes to classes or assigned teachers during the month of September.  Class lists are very carefully designed to balance learning needs, peer relationships, and student transfers in and out.  In almost all situations, children become quickly settled and happy with class placement once they become familiar with their peers and the teacher.  Thank you for your understanding.

• CBE recognizes the uncertainly around possible labour action remains a concern for some parents.  Updates will be shared as they develop.
