I hope you have enjoyed the long weekend.  Here are some reminders and updates for the week ahead:

We are hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Tea on Friday, June 7 from 12:00 pm to 1:20 pm.  This event is an opportunity for us to say Thank You! to our many volunteers who have helped support school programming this year.  Please ensure you RSVP for this event.  The invitation with a QR code to reply is attached. 

Between May 23-31 our grade 4-6 students will be participating in the OurSCHOOL survey.  This anonymous survey allows CBE students to provide feedback on sense of belonging; positive relationships; anxiety; feeling safe at school; general health, goals; self-regulation; and cultural awareness of others.  If you have questions about this survey, please contact your child’s teacher.  We will use the results of the survey to identify strengths and gaps as we plan for next year’s School Development Plan.

School Fees may be viewed in your MyCBE account.  School fees pay for the cost of artists-in-residence, Elder visits, field trips, and in-school programming.  Fees for the year, per child, are in the range of $150 for grade 1-6 students, and less than $75 per year for Kindergarten students.  This is very reasonable compared to the fees at other schools.  There is an additional cost of $150 for grade 6 outdoor school (May 27-29).  Please ensure you have made payment for school fees by mid-June.  Thank you.
