Dear Brentwood Families

It has been wonderful to reconnect with students, staff, and parents this week.  I am delighted to be back at our school.

Here are a few reminders and updates for the week ahead:

We are hosting a Kindergarten and New Student Orientation on Thursday, May 22 from 6:30 pm – 7:45 pm.  This is an opportunity for new families to learn about the TLC program; meet teachers; visit classrooms; and ask questions.  We are excited to welcome 100 new Kindergarten students to Brentwood in September, plus several more in grades 1-6.

Please check your MyCBE account for your current school fees.  Fees provide for the cost of artists-in-residence, field trips, Indigenous Elders, in-school programming, and performances.  With affordability for families in mind, and the ongoing financial support of parent council, we were able to reduce school fees this year.  Please pay school fees as soon as possible so we may continue to provide these opportunities for students.

Plans are in place for our Volunteer Tea on Friday, June 6 from 12:00 pm – 1:20 pm.  This event will allow us to thank and celebrate our many valued school volunteers with a program of student performances, refreshments, and the opportunity to connect with other families.  Please mark this date on your calendar.  An invitation is forthcoming.
