Dear Brentwood Families:

Here are some important reminders and updates for the week ahead:

  • Many thanks to our school council for organizing a very successful School Carnival on Friday evening.  This was the first carnival in several years and an important fundraiser for council-sponsored activities.  We greatly appreciate Chanel, Saima, and the many volunteers who made this event a reality for our families.
  • Grade 6 students will be participating in a field trip to Blackfoot Crossing tomorrow to see the location of the signing of Treaty 7, and to learn more about Indigenous history, culture, and ways of knowing.  A reminder that this trip departs at 8:00 am, so students should arrive at school by 7:45 am.  We will be taking two large motor coaches on this trip, so please ensure you are not parking in our bus zone for drop-off.
  • Remaining school fees must be paid by Friday, June 14.  These fees cover the cost of field-trips, artists-in-residence, and enhanced in-school programming.  Thank you for making payment for school fees as part of your commitment to our TLC program.  Fees may be paid through your MyCBE account.
  • This is the last week for homework for grade 1-6 students.
  • The last day for required school uniforms is Friday, June 7.  Students may wear casual clothing after that date.  A reminder that our school council Used Uniform Sale is on Friday, June 14.  Information about the sale will be sent home with your child and by email.

Wishing your family a wonderful first week of June.

Sincerely,

Rudy J. Stein
