Dear Brentwood Families
It was an exciting week of learning at Brentwood, with multiple field trips and in-school programs.
Next week, highlights include our continued Kindergarten to Grade 3 residency with visual artist Sharon Fortowsky; Grade 5 field trip to Glenbow Ranch; and a Grade 6 orientation at Thomas B. Riley School.
Here are a few reminders and updates:
Fees
School fees are due by Friday, June 6. Payment is made through your MyCBE account. Please ensure you have attended to this commitment to our TLC program.
School Bus Behaviour
As we head into the final weeks of the school year, we would appreciate your support with reminding your child of expected behaviour while using charter transportation. Working together, we can ensure the final weeks of school remain a safe and enjoyable riding experience for everyone. If your child rides a yellow school bus, please have a conversation with them this weekend about:
- respecting the bus driver;
- remaining seated and facing forward while the bus is in motion;
- and conducting oneself in a quiet and courteous manner so as to not distract the driver
Volunteer Tea
We are hosting our Volunteer Tea on Friday, June 13. Please see the attached invitation for details. Our valued school volunteers are welcome and encouraged to attend and may RSVP using the QR Code or by emailing: brentwoodvolunteertea@gmail.com
School Council
School council will be having its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, June 24 at 7 pm via Zoom. A link will be sent out closer to the meeting date. Council is looking to fill a number of positions for the 2025-2026 school year. A description of the positions, with the opportunity to self-nominate, may be found here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4AA5AD28A4FCC70-57133704-brentwood. Please note that nominating oneself does not guarantee the position. Voting will occur as part of the AGM.
Wishing your family an enjoyable weekend.
Sincerely,
Rudy J. Stein
