Dear Brentwood Families

Thank you to those who attended today’s Volunteer Appreciation Tea.  It was wonderful to see so many of our parents and other volunteers there.  Once again, thank you for your support.

The last full week of school is now upon us!  Here are some reminders and updates:

Field Trips

Our field trips continue with Grade 2 students at TELUS Spark on Monday or Tuesday; Grade 1-3 students at Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park on Wednesday, June 18 (weather permitting); and our Tuesday/Thursday Kindergarten students visiting the Calgary Zoo on Thursday, June 19. 

Field Day

All students will also be participating in our fun-filled Field Day of outdoor activities on Friday, June 20. 

Used Uniform Sale

Friday, June 20 is also the date for school council’s Used Uniform Sale.  Please see the flyer for information.  New uniform pieces continue to be provided by McCarthy’s.  Please see McCarthy's website for information, including the purchasing windows.

Lunch and Snacks

A reminder to please send your child with both their lunch and ample snacks for the day.  In the last several weeks we have had an increase in students coming to the office requesting food items.  This is typical given the warmer weather and increased physical activity outside.  A reminder that our office is not equipped to receive food deliveries (i.e. SkipTheDishes or UberEats).   Please do not send such deliveries to the school.

School Council Annual General Meeting

School Council will be having its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, June 24 at 7 pm via Zoom.  A link will be sent out closer to the meeting date.  Council is looking to fill a number of positions for the 2025-2026 school year.  A description of the positions, with the opportunity  to self-nominate, may be found here:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4AA5AD28A4FCC70-57133704-brentwood.  Please note that nominating oneself does not guarantee the position, as voting will occur as part of the AGM.
