Here are some reminders and updates for the week ahead:
Wednesday, February 26 is Pink Shirt Day.
Students are welcome to wear a pink shirt to celebrate kindness and inclusion in solidarity against bullying. Students not wearing a pink shirt should attend in their regular uniform.
February is Black History Month.
Throughout the last few weeks, our students have been learning about the contributions of Black Canadians from a variety of communities. We are inviting students for whom Black History Month is significant to wear cultural clothing on Thursday, February 27. Brentwood is proud to serve a diverse community, and this invitation aligns with the opportunity students had to wear special clothing for Diwali and Lunar New Year earlier this year. Students not wearing cultural clothing should attend in their regular uniform.
Our Kindergarten Concert is being held on Thursday, February 27
Kindergarten families have been provided with details about this event. Should you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
Friday, February 28 is a Non-Instruction Day
There is no school for students.
