Dear Brentwood Families:

I hope you have had an enjoyable spring break, and for those who celebrate, a Happy Easter.

Here are a few quick reminders and updates for the week ahead:

1.  Many thanks to our numerous volunteers for their support of our recent Trickster Residency, and of other school initiatives.  We look forward to hosting our many volunteers at an appreciation event on Friday, June 7.  More details are to come!

2.  Thank you as well to our school council for organizing dinner for our teachers during School Conferences.  The delicious food was very appreciated by our staff.

3.  The arrival of spring is an opportune time to reminder students of the importance of appropriate behaviour while on charter transportation (yellow school buses).   As this is the least structured and supervised time of the school day, we sometimes have challenges with behaviour on the bus ride home.  Please help us by reminding your child of the following:

  • Students must conduct themselves in a quiet and courteous manner, showing consideration for the comfort and safety of others;
  • While the bus is in motion, students must remain seated facing forward;
  • Scuffling, fighting, and the use of obscene language on the bus is prohibited;
  • Students must not distract the bus driver with excessive noise

Our school administration addresses all reports of misconduct made by the driver, or parents, concerning inappropriate student behaviour or conduct on the bus.

Violation of any of the above rules may lead to the loss of riding privileges, suspension from school, or to other disciplinary measures under Administrative Regulation 6006 | Progressive Student Discipline.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Rudy J. Stein
