We have warmer weather in the forecast and a busy week ahead.  Here are a few updates and reminders:

1.     Term 1 Report Cards will be available on Tuesday, February 24 through the MyCBE account.  Please note that report cards are not printed.

2.     Grade 1 students are participating in a Winter Investigation field trip to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary on Monday, February 23 (Ms. Hawthorne), Wednesday, February 25 (Ms. Ross & Ms. Yasin) and Thursday, February 26 (Ms. Brouwer & Ms. Fulton).  Information about these trips has been sent home with your child.

3.     Wednesday, February 25 is Pink Shirt Day.  Students are welcome to wear a pink shirt and/or clothing on this day as a visible symbol of support for kindness, inclusion, and respect for others.  Pink Shirt Day is celebrated throughout CBE and Canada to raise awareness and start conversations about why bullying is harmful and what we can do to prevent it.  Students not wearing pink should come to school in their regular uniform.

4.     Grade 4-6 students will view a performance of The Tale of the Gifted Prince at Theatre Calgary on Wednesday, February 25.  This is a world-premiere musical and our students and staff are looking forward to its debut.  Information about this trip has also been sent home with your child.

5.     Our Kindergarten students have been busy rehearsing over the last few days and are looking forward to performing for parents at our concert on Thursday, February 26 at 1:30 pm.  We look forward to seeing our families there for this musical celebration.

6.     Friday, February 27 is a non-instruction day and there is no school for students.  Teachers will be engaging in a variety of professional learning opportunities.
