We have had very busy days at school since returning from spring break. Here are a few reminders and updates for the week ahead:

Yellow Steps Residency
Kindergarten to grade 5 students will be participating in a residency with Yellow Steps beginning on Monday and continuing until the beginning of May.
This is an outdoor field study connected to a variety of grade level curricular outcomes.
Each class will spend 3 hours with exploring the Brentwood community and surrounding neighborhood.
Some examples of what students will be learning through questions of inquiry are:
- Kindergarten: What are some signs of spring?
- Grade 2: How do we use and respect our natural spaces?
- Grade 5: How has our community changed over time?
Teachers have posted more information about this residency on Google Classroom or D2L.
Students will need to come dressed for a variety of spring weather conditions while outdoors, including suitable footwear. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have questions or are interested in volunteering.

Spring Photos
Spring individual and class photos will be taken on Tuesday, April 14. Monday/Wednesday Kindergarten photos only will be taken on Wednesday, April 15. Students should wear formal uniforms for their picture day.

Please take a moment to view your child’s school fees in MyCBE account. We appreciate your timely payment and attention to any current fees.
Safety at Drop Off and Pick Up
With warmer temperatures, more of our students are walking and riding bikes to school. If you drive your child to Brentwood, ensure you do so with care during our busy start and dismissal times. Please do not use our bus loading zone or staff parking lot for drop-off or pick-up. This is a safety concern and causes unnecessary congestion for other parents, our staff, and others on the road. Thank you.
