Dear Brentwood Families:
As we head into Thanksgiving weekend, I am feeling especially grateful for our Brentwood community. With 825 students, 42 teachers, and 31 support staff, our school is a busy and vibrant place to learn and grow.
It has been wonderful to see students settling into their learning and daily routines, strengthening positive relationships, and build connections within their classrooms and across our school.
Thank you to our families for being such an important part of our community and for the many ways you contribute to making Brentwood a welcoming place where everyone belongs.
A few quick reminders as we look ahead:
IPPs
If your child has an Individual Program Plan (IPP), you will receive their initiated plan today. If applicable, please review your child’s IPP and return the signature page only by Friday, October 16. IPPs are a living document and will be updated at regular intervals to continue to support your child’s achievement and well-being. The next update to IPPs will occur in mid-November.
Photo Day
School photo day is Tuesday, October 13. Individual photos are taken in the fall; class photos in the spring.
- Monday/Wednesday kindergarten students only will have their photo taken on Wednesday, October 14.
Students wear formal uniforms for their picture.
Non-instruction day
Monday, October 19 is a non-instruction day and there is no school for students. This is the date of the Alberta referendum and Brentwood is a voting location. Teachers will be engaged in professional learning on this date.
