Dear Brentwood Families,

Thank you to parents and other guests who attended our Volunteer Tea today.  We appreciate all our volunteers and their support of our school programming.

Here are some reminders & updates for another busy week ahead:

Kindergarten Celebration

Parent Council is excited to host a special Kindergarten Celebration for our students as we celebrate a wonderful year together!  The celebration will be held on Tuesday, June 9 (Tuesday/Thursday students) and Wednesday, June 10 (Monday/Wednesday students).  Please note this is a student-only event.  Further details have been shared with our kindergarten families.

Grade 2 & 3 Swimming

Grade 2 & 3 swimming lessons continue next week with both morning and afternoon lessons.  Your child’s teacher will have shared the schedule.  Please remind your child to bring their swimsuit, towel, and any other necessary items on their swimming days.

Teepee Teachings

To celebrate National Indigenous History Month, we have arranged for a CBE teepee to be on school grounds on Thursday, June 11.  Students and classes will have the opportunity to visit the teepee on a scheduled rotation.  Teachings will be facilitated by Elder Sa’akokoto.

Grade 6 Farewell

We have organized two events for our Grade 6 Farewell on Tuesday, June 23.  Our farewell plans include refreshments at the school for students and families, and a visit for students to West Confederation Park.  Grade 6 farewell is intended to be both an informal and celebratory opportunity for students.  Further details have been shared with our grade 6 families.

Homework and Attire

A reminder that homework has now concluded for the school year, and that students may wear casual clothing, or their uniform, for the remaining three weeks of school.  Thank you as well for your attention to any remaining school fees.

Wishing your family an enjoyable weekend.

Sincerely,
Rudy J. Stein
