Dear Brentwood Families,

We are entering the final, and busiest, month of the year, with only 20 school days remaining. As such, we have several important reminders & updates:

Fees

Please make payment for school fees. Payment for outstanding fees may be made through MyCBE. Part of the commitment to attending the Traditional Learning Centre (TLC) program is an agreement to pay school fees, which provide for the cost of artists-in-residence, field trips, and other school programming. Our office will be following up with families by telephone beginning next week.

Grade 6 Outdoor School

Grade 6 students are participating in Outdoor School at Camp River’s Edge next week. Due to a forecast of heavy rain on Monday, we have moved the dates for the camp to Tuesday, June 2 and Wednesday, June 3. A separate email has also been sent to our grade 6 families.

Grade 2 Glenbow Ranch - CANCELLED this week

The grade 2 trip to Glenbow Ranch on Monday, June 1 has also been postponed due to poor weather. We are confirming a new date and will update grade 2 families next week.

Homework

The last week for school homework will be June 1-5.

Uniforms

The last day for uniforms is Friday, June 5. Students may wear casual clothing for the final three weeks of school.

Parent council is organizing a used uniform sale for Thursday, June 11. More details will be forthcoming.

Volunteer Tea

We are hosting our Volunteer Tea on Friday, June 5 from 12:00 pm to 1:20 pm. If you plan to attend, please ensure you have informed us through the RSVP. Please note that street cleaning is scheduled in the Brentwood community on June 5, so if you are attending the volunteer tea, please use parking along Brantford Drive NW and Burgess Drive NW, which are alongside the east and south sides of our school grounds.

Field Day

We are having our annual Field Day on Friday, June 19. This is an active day for students with several outdoor stations. Ms. Levine is still looking for several volunteers to help support Field Day. If you are cleared as a volunteer with CBE and able to help outdoors, please contact her directly by email: allevine@cbe.ab.ca
